T-61 days: Breakthrough!
Posted on 8th October 2008, 4:54pmSince Monday’s message to STEP UP, I started practically dumping motivational audio materials in me for at least 5-6 hours a day - listening to it at work. While I really am not paying attention to the audios most of the time (cos I was doing my work), I think things do work at the subconscious level.
One of audios which I got to was re-listening to Anthony Robbin’s Personal Power II, and even though I know what he was going to challenge me to do on the first tape, I did it anyway.
And on Monday evening I had a breakthrough!
I won’t mention what I did, but it was something that was really kind of uncomfortable for me to do, as a naturally introverted person. Its not a big thing, its not going to generat a windfall for me immediately, but what was important was that I did it.
The feeling of having a breakthrough is wonderful!
My brother once shared with me a Zig Ziglar quote, which goes “They say motivation doesn’t last, well neither does bathing — that’s why we recommend it daily.” I think it is true.
Listening to ONE audio or ONE good book or ONE great motivational seminar may not get you over your edge and kick you in the butt enough to get you going… but if you embrace motivational materials as part of your life, and do it very consistently on a daily basis - you WILL change!
Hurray! This is the first step!
