I love Singapore!

Well, I chanced upon a new website put up by MICA – http://www.mysingapore.sg/… and it somehow brings pleasant feelings.

Amid the news on the economy and all the complaints – ERP, bus lanes, COE, packed MRTs etc, I feel fortunate that I am born and brought up in Singapore.

I appreciate the Wireless.SG initiative, the clean roads, the traffic lights, the wonderful delicious kweh chap and char kweh teows, and access to reasonably priced computer gadgets coming up at SITEX 2008, the efficient public transport system, HDB flats, and everything.

Yesterday I was out with a friend – and naturally, our conversations went on about the brilliant economy, and about how many of the countries are doing, and I start to realize what a wonderful job our government has done. The fact is (and I’ve heard this from more than one source) that if you let people manage their own finances, most of the time they do a terrible job at it!

So I love Singapore!
