Reasons for Working and Quitting

I should continue to work at my workplace because…

• It pay me enough to survive.
• The economy is bad.
• There is more security.
• My colleagues are friendly.
• My department is only me!
• I am already used to it.
• I’m providing value.
• I might not succeed in my business.
• I still have time to work at home after working hours anyway.
• I can enjoy the benefits like the medical benefits.
• I took so long to find this job.
• I already have 7 months of experience.
• There is a career planned ahead for me.
• I am a more “regular working person” like this.
• Who knows I’ll get a pay raise soon?
• I’ve been trained in my area already.

I need to leave because I want to.

I didn’t decide to leave NUS to sit in a cubicle for the rest of my life.

I think if I live 3 more months of my life in an routine and 8 hours in an office space like this, I’d go crazy… and its nothing to do with the work or the company or the colleagues or the environment. Its me.
