Back in Malaysia for Business

Well. I’m back here writing this in a notepad file at LCCT waiting for my plane home again.

This time, its for real. Business.

The business owners I talked to in mid February wanted me to come back to work on the web marketing for their companies. I met up with the directors of 8 companies just these two days.

It was an amazing 2 days! The people were so friendly, so hospitable and they really made me feel easy around them.

Some of the business were small corporations, and what they needed was just technical assistance to get them started on an email marketing platform.

Others were medium sized, and they needed a relook and revamp of their website, as well as positioning on search engines.

And a couple were huge businesses, well, not exactly huge, but big enough to span several countries and own factories.

They all came from (very) different industries, and in the short discussion with them I really learnt so much about their industries – the processes that go behind their operations, and some of the other marketing strategies they use.

So with 8 companies web marketing strategies to think of, my brain is now so jam packed with all these information now – I can hardly breath!

Heh.

But that’s a good problem, right?

I need to come back here in 2 weeks to run through the proposals with them. But hopefully this initial expenditure (on plane tickets and hotel stay) will help me get back some good business projects from Malaysia.

*yawns*

Still 1 hour 30 mins more before my flight. Its kinda boring here at LCCT. Good thing I have my laptop and book with me.

I need a good rest. Really looking forward to touchdown on my bed at home tonight.

Oh yes, talking about bed. I was originally set to stay in a superior room in Royal Bintang Damansara yesterday night. After spending the whole day out and only arriving at the hotel at 9:30pm, they told me that there were no more superior rooms available, and they upgraded me to a family suite!

Man! The suite was huge! The toilet is bigger than the one I have at home. I had 4 beds to myself, 2 LCD televisions! Amazing. Haha… what an experience. What a waste – my parents and fiancee wasn’t here to enjoy that experience with me.

Alright, I shall get some work done, go grab a coffee, and read my book now!
