The Art of the Start
Posted on 2nd December 2009, 2:48amHad the opportunity to watch a video of keynote speech a featuring Guy Kawasaki, on “The Art of the Start”. Interesting and useful.
- create meaning, not money
- create a mantra
- get going – think different, polarize people, find a few soul mates (complementary skills)
- define a business model – be specific, keep it simple, ask women about your business model
- weave a MAT (milestones, assumptions, tasks)
- niche thyself – create a unique product that is valuable to the customer
- follow 10/20/30 rule – 10 slides, 20 minutes, smallest font is 30pts (title, problem, solution, business model, underlying magic, marketing and sales, competition, team, projection, status and timeline)
- hire infected people
- lower barriers to adoption – make it easy to adopt
- seed the clouds – get it out there
- don’t lets bozos pull you down
